MAINTENANCE

It is imperative to keep the solar panel clean to maintain maximum energy collection. If panel becomes dirty, clean with water only.

When you have finished using the cannon for the season, turn it off and leave it out in the sun for 2 or 3 days to make sure the battery is fully charged. Batteries should be stored off the ground and in a heated building, as cold and dampness will drain the battery. Periodically during the off-season, the panel and battery should be placed in direct sunlight, as the battery will discharge while idle. Before using the cannon again (i.e. in the spring), place the panel and battery in direct sunlight, without the cannon connected, for 3 - 5 days to ensure complete battery charge.
